There’s no better way of starting this article than by giving you a sincere and heartfelt thank you.
Some days ago, I woke up to the following message, sent by the Substack team:
In January of this year, I made a tough choice: to completely rebrand the Simple Men project, give up all the income I was making from it, and focus my content explicitly and openly on Christian masculinity, as opposed to secular masculinity. I did this in an effort to be more honest with what I was creating and also because I felt compelled to be clear about the fact that real masculinity is and will always be based on trying to imitate Christ.
7 months later, we have become a Substack best-seller. It’s crazy how fast this has happened, and I take it as proof that the message I’m sharing is resonating with many men, and I do feel that this is because it’s more honest than it was before.
There’s no better feeling for a writer than having this level of support from his audience, and for that, I’m eternally grateful. All of you who read, comment, like and share, and especially those of you who have chosen to support me financially too, are a blessing and I appreciate you more than you know. I read every comment, go through every like, and try to answer every single message, and I have gotten to know many of you personally. I feel incredibly thankful for what you have helped me build, and I hope I can keep writing content that moves you to become a better, stronger, more honorable Christian man.
This is only the beginning. I have no plans to stop growing this page and I have a ton of big ideas for the future — I’ll share some of those towards the end of this article.
I think this is a good opportunity to share some lessons I’ve learnt in the process of becoming a best-seller on this platform, so that you can also take some actionable advice from this article.
What I Have Learnt So Far
Seek to do God’s will and everything else will fall into place.
As I mentioned earlier, at the beginning of the year I gave up my income and decided to become a faith based business from scratch. I started 2024 back at $0 for income from this page. And even though I’m still not where I was before income-wise, the important thing is that my heart is now fully in this project again.
I felt a distinct calling to be more open about my faith and focus on Christian masculinity specifically, and even though financially I’m still climbing back up, I now see a clear roadmap to get to where I was and beyond. What’s even more important is that I feel completely aligned with what I’m writing and I’m no longer doing this for the money, but rather to share the most valuable message of all: the good news of Christ and what they mean for us as men. The lesson is simply this: if God is calling you to do something, answer the call. Walk the path He wants you to walk and everything else will fall into place.You only lose if you stop altogether.
You are allowed to change course, pivot, slow down, rebrand, restructure, change your business model, change your priorities, but you are never allowed to come to a full stop, because if you do, it’s likely that you’ll never get going again.
Quality over quantity.
It’s more valuable to have 100 people who are fully aligned with your message and beliefs than 100.000 people who don’t really vibe with what you are saying. Don’t try to appeal to everyone. State your beliefs boldly and the right people will stay by your side.
Connections are key.

Simple Men wouldn’t have become a best-seller publication if it wasn’t for a few men. Bear in mind, I only met these men after I decided to rebrand Simple Men and focus on Christian Masculinity as a topic, which further goes to show how you only meet the right people when you start walking the right path yourself. I have not missed a single week of posting since I started, and I can guarantee that’s one of the main reasons why we managed to achieve this milestone. Consistency will always win in the long term, whether it’s in business, fitness, or in anything else. He who stays consistent for the longest period of time, wins.
What Does the Future Hold?

More books: The next two books after Christian Vitality and Rivers of Fire are already planned. In fact, my third book, Unbreakable Faith, will be released on October 5th. Here’s a sneak peak of the cover!

Community: Even though I absolutely love Substack as a platform, it’s still somewhat limited when it comes to building an online community, which is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. This community would be focused on a specific topic within the faith and members would have access to video courses, group calls, a group chat, and other group activities and benefits (still TBD). For now, I want to gauge interest and see which one of the topics below sounds more interesting to you guys.
Coaching: I intend to get back into coaching in the future, as I do believe it’s a great way to help young men on a deeper level. This would be tied to the community that we end up building so that it becomes a more specialized kind of coaching.
Doxing: I’m slowly getting tired of anonymity, and will eventually want to start publishing under my real name. I don’t have a specific date but I do think you’ll get to know me very soon. I will probably always stay anonymous on IG, but here and in the community I’ll build, there’s no point in hiding my identity.
